Psonic Bionic - Rhythm Scape I (Tech Mix) PDF Print E-mail

Brand new track finished and up at http://soundcloud.com/wrecklessmusic and on my Facebook fan page.  I'm working on updating how listening/sharing/selling tracks goes here at wrecklessmusic.net, but it will be up here soon enough as well.  This is an acid techno track.  The acid is 90's old school sounding, but the overall production is quite modern.  I've got lots of FX, buildups, claps, gongs, verb and delays playing off the top, some vocoded bits, a sub bass coming in at around 2:57, and a great auditory illusion that continues to rise higher and higher but never seems to get too high to hear.  I started adding a piano bit, and it sounded great, but I thought that it detracted from the tech side of things and became too melodic.  I may include it in a different (album?) mix.  I also still have the original breaks mix of the track to complete for you, which has a lot more random acidic (TB-303) parts going on.

Techno DJ and producer, Bryan Scott, and myself have just finished up a dubstep collaboration that we've been working on for some time now.  The track is entitled 'Dagobah' and it just went up on my SoundCloud account.  It is a free download there, and will also be up on my FB fanpage shortly, and here at wrecklessmusic.net.   http://soundcloud.com/wrecklessmusic/bryan-scott-vs-psonic-bionic-dagobah-320  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wreckless-Music/305503448835

Tech Funk PDF Print E-mail

So I'm just exploring the genre(?) called Tech Funk.  It appears to be a blend of all wonderful electronic dance genres blended together in a seamless gel of bass and beats.  Just my style!  Breaks, glitch, dubstep, techno, funk, house, all roled into one.  I really need to start DJ'ing like yesterday.  Some good resources to explore this wonderful sound are http://jungoroad.com and http://techfunkmanifesto.blogspot.com/

New VST plugin favorite PDF Print E-mail

It's amazing how you can have a VST you're not really impressed until you figure out the proper context to put it to good usage. DtBlkFX is such a plugin.  You can find it for free at http://rekkerd.org/dtblkfx/ and there are Mac and PC versions as well as mono and stereo versions.  I found it to be incredibly useful when I am applying it to individual drumsounds to help create a glitchy loop.

I hope this helps someone else find some inspiration
