Planning is getting underway for an old school style "rave" event in the Indianapolis area, or maybe something bigger. We are shooting for sometime in the first half of 2011, with perhaps some smaller events on the way there. We've got funding. We've got ideas. We've got enthusiasm. We are shooting for an experience here. Not just a DJ'd party. We have the potential to do something major. It's just a matter of careful planning and making sure it's done right. We want to offer something that perhaps a lot of the younger crowd have never had the chance to experience. We are stoked about the scene here, and want to do our part to help spur things along and rekindle some of the things that have been lost along the way. Indianapolis, what would you like to see?

The new layout on my 'Music & Merchandise' page is finished. You can now pay what you want for songs, and you can listen to very high quality, full length previews for each song. I'm still in the process of doing artwork covers and uploading more of my songs, but it's up and running. The layout is a lot more professional and easier to navigate. I am uploading one of the free songs now, and you don't even have to become a member on my site to get a copy (just an email - fair trade). http://wrecklessmusic.bandcamp.com/

In lieu of being able to make the Marc Romboy show tonight I'm focusing on music, business, and production. Things are rolling along now with a track I'm producing for my buddy Alabaster Grimm called 'The Buzz'. It's coming along quite nicely. I guess you could call it glitch-hop beatspeak. Along with that, I've just about finished a new Citizen Abstract track which should be appearing soon if I don't save it for the full CD. Also, Bryan Scott and I are also just finishing up the second track, Hadron, for our up and coming (as yet untitled) EP. This EP is on the front end of a wave of modern techno that I've been immersed in lately. If you jump the link over to Bryan's page, be sure to check out his solo track entitled 'Bloat', especially if you're into minimal at all. As you can see, I love so many different styles of music, I refuse to just pick one. Keep your ears open for new releases coming soon!

Today I finally made some progress on my paypal micropayments account necessary for my bandcamp setup, providing that paypal doesn't come back to haunt me with 2 business accounts. Essentially what this means is I'm one step closer to completion on the new download section of my site where you will be able to pay what you think my songs are worth without it costing me excessive paypal fees. :) I've been holding off releasing new material until this is complete. Stay tuned...

Had a great time at the Angel Alanis/Adam Jay show last night. Thanks to Matt Ramsey for putting a great show together. The sound system at Tru was tuned by Adam Jay himself and was sounding fantastic.
Just an update on the goings on in my neck of the woods. I'll be heading over to finish a minimal track today with Bryan Scott, and hopefully starting on a new one as well. Also been working on an IDM piece featuring the beautiful vocals of my wife, Melissa. Also in the queue is something with my friend Alabaster Grimm out in Venice, CA. He's been working on some new beatspeak and I'm going to try to add some accompaniment or at least reinterpret his ideas.
Also, I'm in the process of getting setup with Bandcamp to make all my songs available at whatever price you think they are worth. They have a really nice system, and I'm excited about getting the update to my website. Also, you will no longer have to sign up to my website to get the free tracks I offer (... okay, well, I may save a couple for members only.) ;) Along the same lines, I'm looking at establishing my DBA for sole proprietership officially with the state. I really hate business, but it's something I'm going to have to take care of sooner or later.
